「confiteor」

「confiteor」是天主教（及基督教路得教派和英國國教教堂）彌撒開始前的祈禱文，雖然起頭時說的是" I confess to almighty God ..." 但全篇唸完感覺和論語裡的「吾日三省吾身」十分類似，內省的功夫東西方其實很一致。

I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done,
and in what I have failed to do;
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Amen
